The Nagaland State Data Centre (NSDC), established in 2008 as part of the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), is managed by the Department of Information Technology & Communication (IT&C). As a crucial element of the State’s technical framework, it acts as a secure gateway between the public domain and the government’s digital network.
Designed to host and co-locate various systems including web servers, application servers, database servers, and storage area networks (SAN) - the NSDC serves as a centralized platform for hosting multiple government websites and applications. This unified infrastructure facilitates seamless integration, efficient management, and optimal utilization of computing resources for the Nagaland State Government.
As the state’s primary data repository, the NSDC provide secure data storage, online service delivery, citizen information portals, data recovery, disaster recovery, remote management, and service integration. It operates under continuous surveillance and is maintained by a dedicated 24/7 operations and management team. Currently, the NSDC hosts 44 applications and 100 websites, with 16 applications running in a co-located environment.
