4G Saturation Project - The Union Cabinet accorded approval on 27th July 2022 for the 4G Mobile Services Saturation Project, aimed at delivering high-speed internet connectivity to approximately 25,000 uncovered villages across the country, particularly in remote and difficult terrains. Under this initiative, 569 sites were identified in Nagaland, including 397 uncovered villages, for the provision of 4G mobile services. The project is targeted for completion by March 2026. It seeks to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural areas and promote socio-economic development through reliable 4G connectivity, while also creating a foundation for the future rollout of 5G services.

As part of the project implementation, a total of 323 tower sites have been planned, comprising new tower installations, upgradation of existing towers, and towers under Border Outposts (BOP), Border Infrastructure Projects (BIP), and other related locations.

The present status of implementation is as follows:

• Commissioned (ON AIR): 259 towers (80.93%) are fully operational.

Continuous efforts are being made to accelerate the completion of the remaining towers to ensure timely execution of the project and improved network coverage across the State.
