Hands-on Training for State DBT Portal

Published on: July 31, 2025

The Department of IT&C, in collaboration with the DBT Cell, Finance Department, successfully organized a hands-on training program on the newly developed State Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Portal from 22nd to 24th July 2025 at the Directorate of IT&C. The training aimed to familiarize State departments with the portal ahead of its anticipated rollout in August 2025.

A total of 111 officers representing 24 departments attended the session. The participants included nodal officers, scheme coordinators, and technical staff involved in DBT scheme implementation.

The training provided:

  • A detailed demonstration of the portal workflow and its benefits, including improved monitoring, timely disbursement, and reduced duplication.
  • Clarification on key fields and data entry requirements, stressing the importance of consistency and accuracy.
  • Practical sessions on using the portal — listing entries, managing schemes, and tracking disbursements.

Most participants expressed satisfaction with the training and found the portal user-friendly. Some departments requested the inclusion of missing schemes, for which they were advised to contact the Office of the Finance Commissioner.

The Department of IT&C, in collaboration with the DBT Cell, Finance Department, remains committed to supporting the departments in this transition and will continue to provide technical assistance as needed to ensure the successful adoption of the DBT Portal across the State.
